Please bear with me as I am new to this blogging blog stuff. I love birds and some call me mad, idiotic and even crazy. But patient and dedicated I am in the pursuit of these fine feathered friends that I admire, adore and respect for being what they are. Free as birds.
My home town of Sydney is home to over 200 species of birds. Many small, many large and nevertheless, all very special in their own way. Even the humble, introduced, Spotted Dove (Streptopelia chinensis) is a stunning representative of avian photographic subjects that I pursue at every given opportunity.
My favorite birds are the raptors; eagles, hawks, harriers, owls and anything that practically has that common characteristic of a raptor - the killer talons.
